The Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) is pleased to announce the launch of the third round of the ICT Fast Forward (FF) Programme.
The goal of the ICT Fast Forward Programme is to facilitate rapid ICT solutions aligned with institutional needs or to improve the working life of staff and the larger UN community. Fast Forward Initiatives also encourage ICT personnel to be innovative and work in teams across ICT units.
Proposed initiatives should be submitted on-line by Friday, 19 March 2010 via an online form.
The ICT Fast Forward guidelines and reference information about this programme can be found on the OICT website.
As you may recall from last year's second round, six ICT initiatives were selected out of over 30 suggestions received from ICT staff of the global Secretariat. These initiatives were selected by the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), Mr. Choi Soon-hong, and ICT managers throughout the Secretariat based on their ability to deliver high impact, user-focused solutions in 90 days or less. More information on these six initiatives can be found on iSeek.
The results of round 3 will again be widely shared within the global ICT community as well as throughout the Secretariat. Qualified initiatives may also be submitted for consideration in the UN 21 Awards process.
OICT looks forward to receiving your ideas and to continued deployment of rapid ICT solutions that improve the work of the Secretariat.
